Remember that feeling you get when you walk into a mall and all eyes are on you? When you walk into a party and you hear voices lauding, and the only word you can pick up is that wonderful word that sets people in awe and amazement; that word “Wow”? That feeling is the feeling of perfection!

Remember what we learnt in primary school that “culture is a way of life”. Well, there’s more to life than culture; and I will love to rephrase it to “Fashion is a way of life”, which means fashion is culture.

Crop tops and gowns have been around for quite some time now. It has been in trend and I guess it’s still trending as at the time of writing this post. Crop tops express elegance and beauty in fashion without you having to say a word. The design shows a sense of uniqueness, which is what fashion is about.

Crop tops and gowns are good and beautiful on the young and the slim, but I recommend crop gowns only to the old, the young, the slim or even the fat. So if you fall in any of these categories, you can put on a crop gown, though the quality and beauty is solely dependent on the experience of your fashion designer.

A lot of people discriminate the wearing of crop tops for different reasons they feel is important to them. But two people cannot be entirely alike in every perspective. I personally do not wear crop tops, but sure do wear crop gowns.

I strongly believe in the notion that you should wear what you love wearing; not because every other person is wearing that particular attire, but because you feel comfortable wearing that attire. People hate crop tops because it reveals the belly button. But for every pro, there’s a solution.

If you so much love putting up crop tops but do not like the exposure of your belly button, you can wear it with a high waist skirt. Crop tops blend well with high waist skirts, or better still you can go with crop gowns (my preferred).

Crop tops can be worn for summer parties, birthday parties, vacation trips, etc. and as for crop gowns, it can be worn on wedding occasions, anniversaries, birthday parties, etc.

What I mostly recommend for DIY tutorials, is making this crop top. You can either choose to make it from scratch with your materials and fabric available or from an already made shirt.
